In this section, I would present various concepts and ideas required to understand the “10X Success Method”
Concept #1 - Dividing the Industry in 10 Zones from 1X to 10X
While the industry offers a wide range of opportunities, most professionals limit themselves to simply finding their next job—often missing the bigger picture.
To help individuals understand and navigate industry opportunities more strategically, we’ve divided the industry landscape into 10 distinct zones, ranging from 1X to 10X. These zones represent increasing levels of opportunity, growth, and value creation.
Similarly, individuals can also be categorized on a 1X to 10X scale—based on their potential, performance, and current salary level.
Concept #2- Hidden (Not Famous) Segment of Industry
I have worked in IBM, McAfee and also got offer from Microsoft. During my corporate career I found that while most people are just focused on few of the famous IT Companies, but there are lot of hidden companies and opportunities that are high paying.
Concept #3 - CTC X Factor
Now comparison of Industry, is difficult if I have to consider various parameters but to keep the understanding easier, I found that Annual Salary / CTC (Cost To Company) offered by company can be considered as one of the benchmark in corporate sector. I understand that this may not hold true for various govt organizations and other social organization but focus of the study is Corporate Job in IT Industry
Hence if a person is getting
With 10 Years of Experience, if some engineer getting 10 Lac INR, I named that 1X professionals
Similarly
With 10 Years of Experience, if some engineer getting 20 Lac INR, I call them 2X Professionals.
Hence
5X Professionals are getting 50 Lac with 10 years of experience and
10X Professionals are getting 1 Cr with 10 years of experience.
